Orange Cognac Brandy(Comparable to Grand Marnier)
1 fifth brandy
1 fifth orange curacao
1 cup sugar
Peel from 1 orange
Combine brandy curacao, and sugar in a large jar. Mix well. Use a peel shaver to get thin strips and then add to brandy mixture. Cover tightly and store in a cool, dark place for 1 week. Shake jar occasionally.
When steeping period is complete, stain and filter liquid. Pour into bottles and cap tightly. Let age at least 1 month before serving.
